This variety was actually crossed by Matthew Soper. The Juthatip Soper produces long, sturdy cups, the upper part of which is a deep red color. Like all Sarracenias, it produces nectar to attract insects, but the amount of nectar that the plant produces is remarkable. In late summer, plants literally drip with nectar.
