Cactus Opuntia subulata

Opuntia subulata, also known as the Eve’s Pin or Needle Cactus, is a unique and robust cactus species that originates from the highlands of the Andes in South America. It features tall, upright stems that can reach up to 4 meters in height in their natural habitat, though it typically remains more compact when grown indoors. The stems are bright green, elongated, and ribbed, with prominent, pointed tubercles from which long, sharp spines and small, fleshy leaves emerge. The leaves are narrow, tapering, and give the cactus its “needle-like” appearance, though they eventually fall off as the plant matures.
